Victoria Young
From a beginning where attending school was an option rather than a necessity, Victoria says that she somehow managed to navigate her way to earning a first-class degree in fashion, film, and photography.
Victoria’s journey as a stylist began with schlepping around London doing returns for Dazed, a role that eventually paid off as she rose to become Fashion Editor and later the Director of Pop Magazine. This position led to a colourful transition to Condé Nast, where she joined Love Magazine—a wonderful, if somewhat overwhelming, experience that marked a career high. Best moments included Donatella Versace offering to dress her for upcoming events (though she might have taken it too literally when she borrowed a dress for her niece's christening) and becoming such a familiar face at The Ritz in Moscow that the staff thought she and Sting were a duo.
Since then Victoria took the leap into freelancing—the “getting a mortgage” years, which she is still very much a part of today. Despite the demands of her career, her love of gardening and her allotment (she’s manifesting, still on the list!) has helped her maintain her unique selling point: her normality, as some have described it and her sense of humour
Over her long career, Victoria has worked with an impressive array of great names and legendary brands, these include:
